Dama Ko, Lahi Ko’s Wear Your Story encourages and embraces love for homegrown brands

"When we live our culture collectively, consciously, and consistently, it can become our soft power."

That's the movement Dama Ko, Lahi Ko puts forward with Philippine Independence Day fast approaching and at a time of much-needed solidarity and appreciation of our roots. Dama Ko Lahi Ko's community-led initiative has sparked a domino effect encouraging Filipinos, no matter where they are in the world, to hone and champion our culture and creativity through the five senses - Pandinig (Hear), Pansalat (Touch), Paningin (Sight), Pang-amoy (Smell), and Panlasa (Taste).

Through an array of online and pop-up initiatives that will last the whole month of June, the newly started movement hopes to encourage others to raise our flag and embrace and celebrate the best of Filipino culture, taste, and experience, despite these crazy times and in the years to come.

Spearheaded by the collaborative efforts of the best and up-and-coming local creative minds and independent brands, one pop-up to anticipate is Wear Your Story, a T-Shirt Exhibit and Pop Up project under the Paningin arm of Dama Ko, Lahi Ko.

The three-day pop-up project and exhibit is a gathering of the best and upcoming homegrown labels from different generations and showcases how they use the T-Shirt as a canvas and visual medium to make a statement and express themselves and how the designs and process translate on the everyday staple.
