The first Jordan flagship in Southeast Asia has taken Manila by storm
Nike's first-ever Southeast Asian Jordan Brand Store opened its doors in where else but the country that truly loves basketball and is home to numerous fans of the game? The Philippines.
Strategically located in the vibrant, industrial metropolis of Bonifacio Global City, the flagship spans 45,000 square feet with its design created as an homage to the Jumpman and the iconic #23 himself, Michael Jordan, fused with a touch of Filipino culture and twist from local artists: Veejay Villafranca, Jaime Pacena, Raxenne Maniquiz, and AJ Dimarucot, who created art that cohesively connects the Jordan brand to local basketball street elements.
The first of its kind - the flagship hits a slam-dunk and is the paradise for Jordan and basketball supporters alike. From the array of apparel and kicks to premium services like their one-on-one styling services and Custom 23 to customize and design your Jordan goods and grails your way, the flagship houses the best of what the Jordan brand has to offer.
However, the highlight of it all, and the pièce de résistance of this remarkable store has to be the basketball court situated at the rooftop of the Jordan flagship. Reminiscent of the basketball court in Nike's New York flagship, the half-court features a Jordan inspired mural designed by known NYC artist Kimou Meyer (@groteskito) that captures the heart and soul of the Jordan brand.
The launch of this flagship also marks the release of the limited, one of a kind Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Manila' with only 150 pairs made available to the public. Though already sold out on its opening day, last December 3, there is a pair displayed in-store, unscathed, and in full glory.
Trust us when we say that this Jordan Brand flagship is remarkable in person, so don't miss out on the opportunity to visit this basketball haven when you can.
