Dancing One Step At A Time With Bawz

Expressing and showcasing individuality is what has, and always will be the motif that defines one of the Philippines’ rising dance teams.

Ever since forming in 2019, BAWZ has taken the local dance scene to new heights as a  movement of choreographers focused on expressing their collective styles. Led by founder and director Aennon Tabungar, the team continues to break through barriers and add its distinct flair to one of our modern culture’s emerging artistic forms.

The common denominator for every member in BAWZ, as it stands, is every member’s wealth of individual and group competition experiences. From historic titles in The Ultimate Dance Cup 2023 and Dance Supremacy to international stints in stomping grounds like Summerjam Showcase, the list of the group’s accomplishments continues growing every year…

And the next step in 2024 for BAWZ PH is the upcoming SummerJam Showcase. 

On March 10, 2024, BAWZ is set to take the stage in Da Nang, Vietnam as the Philippines’ sole representative and compete against leading dance teams from nations around the world. Getting to compete, however, is a challenge because of the financial burden that comes with participating in international competitions—and the team needs our help.

To prepare for the expenses that lie ahead for the team, BAWZ will be holding two fundraising events: BAWZ Select and BAWZ Stage. 

BAWZ Select is a one-day event consisting of fundraising activities such as the upcoming BAWZ Dance Camp and a freestyle competition. It aims to deliver an immersive and vibrant experience, bringing the country’s most talented dancers, choreographers, and enthusiasts all under one roof. The event will occur on January 28, 2024 (Saturday) at Philam Homes Clubhouse. 

BAWZ Stage, on the other hand, is a fundraising dance concert that will tentatively be held on February 23, 2024 (Friday) at SM North EDSA SkyDome.
